Clarinda is a financial crime compliance specialist with nearly 15 years experience in her field, currently working as a Director at BeyondFS. She primarily specialises in supporting FCA-authorised Payment Institutions and EMIs (as well as those going through the FCA authorisation process) tackle complex financial crime regulatory compliance initiatives as they scale up.
Clarinda's experience includes:
* AML audits/independent financial crime reviews
* Banking partner mandated reviews (including ClearBank scope, Barclays scope, ISX scope and Visa scope)
* s166 Skilled Person reviews (including firm-side support) and wider FCA-related financial crime support
* Design/uplift of financial crime policies and procedures
* AMLR and AMLA
* Bank of England RTGS onboarding support
* VREQ navigation and assurance support
* Design and delivery of tailored training
* Ad hoc 'trusted advisor' support (e.g. policy and procedure enhancement)
Clarinda also brings wider experience of supporting clients with proactive and reactive AML/financial crime/compliance initiatives in banking, building societies, betting and gaming, legal and professional services, crypto, the art market and real estate sectors.
Clarinda trained at a Big4 consultancy (EY), where she stayed for 6 years and left as a Manager in 2020. Since then, she has held compliance consultancy roles in a leading multinational law firm (Norton Rose Fulbright) and the 5th largest accountancy and professional services firm globally (BDO) before joining BeyondFS in 2025.
