Why should YOU join the
Institute of Money Laundering Prevention Officers?
By joining IMLPO you will be able to:
Network with your fellow AML practitioners, from both within your own immediate sector and outside. When you have an AML query, being able to pick the phone up and speak to someone you met at an IMLPO meeting or conference is invaluable.
Keep up-to-date on key developments in AML and financial crime prevention. We invite industry experts to speak at our members’ meetings and our annual conference, to ensure that our members receive up-to-the minute information from the regulators, law enforcement and fellow practitioners. Our members’ website also has links to vital information and news sources.
Access relevant, tailored training. We are developing our programme of specifically tailored training workshops, open to members and their staff, focusing on issues identified by our membership.
Make your voice heard! We have good, long-standing relationships with law enforcement, the regulators and the Government, to whom we regularly put the views of our membership.

Who can join?
Membership of IMLPO is open to all AML and financial crime prevention practitioners employed within the financial services and other regulated industries that are based or have an office in the UK.
We have also now extended the opportunity to become members to all those providing consultancy services to those practitioners in the UK. Our constitution states, however, that members must NOT use IMLPO membership for the promotion of their own or their employer's interests.
In order to maintain our independence – and our "safe environment" – we do not accept membership from individuals employed by law enforcement or regulatory bodies involved in the AML or financial crime prevention industry.
