the eighth annual conference of the
Institute of Money Laundering Prevention Officers
Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th May 2011
Forest of Arden, a Marriott Hotel and Country Club
The eighth annual conference of the Institute of Money Laundering Prevention Officers (IMLPO) was held on 16th-17th May 2011.
IMLPO continues to provide the only UK forum that is truly representative of the many diverse sectors affected by anti-money laundering (AML) legislation. Our members are AML and financial crime prevention practitioners in firms large and small, including banks, building societies, insurance companies, investment management firms, securities firms, gaming companies, law firms, money transfer bureaux, accountancy firms, commercial finance companies, estate agents etc.
We know the importance of sharing knowledge, experience, perspectives and best practice between practitioners from different sectors, and this philosophy underpins everything we do as an organisation.
Our annual conference provides an invaluable opportunity – for members and non-members alike – to learn about key developments in the industry, discuss the implications for all involved, and share ideas and concerns with counterparts from all areas of the AML arena. After eight years it has become THE must-attend AML event in the UK calendar, and we believe this is principally because it is a conference for AML practitioners designed by AML practitioners.
And, as networking is of course so important in our business, our conference dinner continues to play an integral part in the unique character of our conference. It enables participants to get to know each other on a more social basis, to make new contacts and re-establish existing ones.
We were delighted with the success of our latest annual conference, and would like to thank everyone who contributed to that success: delegates, speakers, exhibitors and sponsors. Keep checking back here for details of our 2012 event - we'd be delighted to see you there!
Kind regards
Steve Lock
