Our annual conference provides an invaluable opportunity – for members and non-members alike – to learn about key developments in the industry, discuss the implications for all involved, and share ideas and concerns with counterparts from all areas of the AML arena. Now in its fifth year, it has become THE must-attend AML event in the UK calendar, and we believe this is principally because it is a conference for AML practitioners by AML practioners.

When planning the conference programme we try to make sure that we strike a balance between providing an update on the key regulatory issues facing AML practitioners, and the planned future developments in this area, and focusing right in on extremely practical questions that face delegates on a day-to-day basis. Our programme this year therefore includes an innovative panel session involving representatives of the regulators and the regulated, plus our consistently well-received workshop breakout sessions, which this year will take the form of operational AML case studies, presented by representatives of law enforcement. We also have speakers on consent and SARs, US extraterritoriality, terrorist financing, and how practitioners can make the best use of the Internet in AML operations.

And – last, but not least! – we again have our extremely popular conference dinner, which continues to play an integral part in the unique character of our conference. It enables participants to network and get to know each other on a more social basis, to make new contacts and re-establish existing ones.
